#LakeLouise is the second single off our album #Landscapes. It was written during a long cross #Canada trek years ago with someone close to me, we were moving to #Vancouver. It was a hard time, somehow I knew it would end which it eventually did. The whole thing had a profound impact on me and songwriting. I remember forest fires burning all over Alberta and BC. The sky was red and orange, it reflected in the water giving an illusion of fire that was so menacing but also beautiful. The place itself has a lot of wandering folks who seem to get lost there. I related to that and was somehow preparing for a massive life change, I wanted to disappear in it all. Lake Louise was written a while ago, but #TheLongWarBand really made it sing with Chad belting out the end chant "you were on fire, Lake Louise" with that powerful voice of his. It was one of the first tunes we learned together. It was #produced and #recorded like most of our other songs in #Toronto more accurately #Mississauga at #MetalWorks Studio with the great #KevinDietz. I remember laying down #ElectricGuitar as #Legendary #GregBelow founder of #DistortEntertainment and friend looked on. No pressure. Here's the lyrics and link to the song on Spotify...

Lake Louise
Lake Louise, beneath the burning sky
Like a dream you were on fire
Wild eyed, changing green to blue
While time runs away with you
Searching for all the lost souls
Caught in the fog, consumed by love
Washed ashore
Lake Louise
Ancient pines swaying like a gate
Mountains high up above the lake
She saves me, afraid that we wont return
To Lake Louise, where we let our love burn
Searching for all the lost souls
Caught in the fog, consumed by love
Washed ashore
Lake Louise
You were on fire
Lake Louise
You were on fire
Lake Louise
You were on fire
Lake Louise
You were on fire
Lake Louise
